Shashi Tharoor

Dr. Tharoor, a member of THF's board of advisors, is now special assistant to Kofi Annan, Secratary General of the United Nations. Shashi wrote a highly-acclaimed book on Indian foreign policy and more recently the award winning work of fiction, The Great Indian Novel. He spent twelve years in Geneva and Singapore with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Shashi is from Calcutta, is married with twin sons and is an avid cricket fan.
