"I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain'd. I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition. Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things, not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago, not one is respectable or unhappy over the whole earth."

~Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

VISION

issues

Political       Economic       Social       Environmental

We all have issues. Some days, perhaps as a doctor or a teacher, one has mainly professional concerns. Other days, our issues are entirely personal: finding food, keeping a job, raising a child.

Either way, any day, as inhabitants of complicated, unpredictable societies, we each may need to research a particular issue important to us. So we've designed this section to welcome your curiosity and facilitate your search. We include only sites that have exceptionally useful, respected, and well-organized material.

So good luck hunting that two-headed hunch, finding that fickle fact, or hounding the history of some worthy cause. May you discover intriguing new horizons!
