Class Day speeches are given the day before a commencement ceremony, with only the graduating class in attendance. They usually are humorous and well-keyed to the culture of the day, yet often they also contain persuasive and compelling advice to the soon-to-be graduates.
Class Days may include remarks by seniors, the induction of honorary class members, and the recognition of class members for their contributions to the university or college.
