Humanity Manifesto
The internet was built to move information fast, not to protect truth.
We optimized for sharing, not for trust.
We now live in a digital world where misinformation spreads faster than facts, identities are exploitable, and power is concentrated in the hands of a few gatekeepers.
This has been the inevitable outcome of missing infrastructure. Trust is not negotiated over and over again in the real world, and the internet should be no different.
Who you are should be proven once and carried everywhere, but today, the internet is riddled with siloed data, invasive verification checks, and repetitive user onboarding processes.
Humanity’s Proof of Trust is a way for people to verify personal details once and reuse the verification across services, without exposing their raw data.
This creates a basis for the next generation of apps and platforms to verify information more quickly and affordably than today’s largest tech companies, creating a new gold standard for user experience and trust verification.
We believe so strongly in this thesis that we’re launching Humanity Investments to invest in scalable, revenue-generating companies that adopt and extend this model.
Why invest instead of only building? Because we’re establishing a new standard for online trust, and standards gain value as more organizations adopt them.
The value of Proof of Trust is greater than any of the largest incumbents that store their own data today because today’s systems are siloed across KYC providers, credential stores, compliance vendors, account databases. Humanity aggregates data verification without aggregating the data itself.
Proof of Trust only works as infrastructure when it’s shared. A single product has users, but an ecosystem has compounding value. Each integration reduces onboarding time for the next one and each verified user improves conversion for every participating service.
Trust becomes portable, and onboarding becomes near-instant. This lets businesses start their relationship with their users on the right foot, avoiding costly data management, reducing friction when onboarding users, and increasing retention.
Today, data is concentrated among a few large platforms. They cannot practically verify information outside their own environments while preserving user control and privacy. Proof of Trust does by providing verification without custody.
We invest to accelerate standardization, distribution, and network effects.
