2025 has been Humanity’s biggest year to date. What began as an ambitious vision became a working, global protocol proving that trust and privacy can coexist at scale. Last year, Humanity Protocol moved from theory to execution, delivering real products, real integrations, and real-world utility for privacy-preserving verification.
What Went Down in 2025?
We kicked off 2025 by integrating with ApeChain, bringing verifiable, human-first identity to Ape’s ecosystem and establishing a new benchmark for on-chain trust. This integration demonstrated how decentralized identity can power safer, more credible ecosystems without compromising user privacy or data sovereignty.
In May, Humanity Testnet Beta went live, giving builders and users early access to the protocol and its core capabilities. Their feedback played a critical role in refining the network, strengthening performance, and preparing Humanity for its transition to mainnet.
June marked a major milestone with the launch of Humanity’s palm scan app, allowing users to get verified directly from their phones. That same month, the launch of $H introduced Web3’s first fairdrop, setting a new standard for transparent, equitable token distribution.
All of this momentum culminated in July with Humanity’s official mainnet launch, turning years of research and development into a live network. Mainnet marked the beginning of Humanity’s role as foundational infrastructure for privacy-preserving verification across Web3 and beyond.
Following mainnet, Humanity’s ecosystem continued to expand through new dashboard features and real-world integrations. Partnerships with travel and hospitality leaders like Emirates, Delta, and Marriott Bonvoy brought verified identity into everyday experiences.
To close out a great year, Humanity announced its largest integration to date: Mastercard. This partnership extends verifiable trust into global commerce, proving Humanity’s ability to operate at real-world scale.
What’s Next
With mainnet live and real-world adoption underway, Humanity is entering its next phase of growth, focused on decentralization, product expansion, and ecosystem acceleration.
A major priority is further decentralizing the network through the rollout of verifier nodes. This will expand participation, strengthen security, and distribute trust across a global set of independent operators, moving Humanity closer to its long-term vision of fully decentralized verification infrastructure.
On the product side, we’ll be shipping upgrades across the protocol and dashboard. Expect expanded verification capabilities, improved developer tooling, and new features designed to make integrating Humanity faster, simpler, and more powerful for builders and users.
We’ll also begin unveiling the growing ecosystem of projects building on Humanity. From Web3-native applications to mobile apps, these teams are using Humanity’s verification layer to unlock fairer distribution, safer platforms, and more trusted interactions.
